When you finish Grade 12, ambition and hope should be enough. But the reality is that many young people are left to face confusing applications, funding systems, and heavy career decisions entirely on their own. That’s why Nala exists. Founded by Olebogeng Koatlhai, Nala Foundation is built on lived experience and community. We aren't here to play the saviour, we're here to do the groundwork. We believe in young people, we believe in practical action, and we believe that a lack of guidance should never stand in the way of potential.

The Challenge
Many students qualify but cannot afford the R200–R500 needed to apply to institutions.
Without data or access to a printer, essential documents and online forms stay out of reach.
Without guidance, students miss closing dates for bursaries, colleges and university applications.
Many families have no one in their network who has navigated the post-school system before.
Too many options, confusing portals and unclear pathways leave capable learners paralysed.

An accessible open session for any young person who needs guidance — printing, internet access, bursary applications or just a trusted person to help them figure out their next step.
Straightforward, honest content that takes the guesswork out of the post-school transition. We map out the journey step by step, cutting through the confusion around institutional requirements, funding streams, and deadlines, giving young people a clear roadmap for the year ahead.
